The Client
The Radisson Blu Hotel in Portman Square London is situated right in the heart of London and offers 272 sophisticated, family-friendly rooms and suites. Located just off Oxford Street, the hotel is within walking distance to key attractions such as the flagship John Lewis store, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Buckingham Palace and West End theatres giving guests easy access around the city.
The Project
The sophisticated rooms at The Radisson Blu Hotel, Portman Square London had a requirement for the installation of new 3-phase beds across 200 hotel rooms as well as the environmentally friendly disposal of the existing beds.
The Solution
The Cube Relocations team worked closely with the staff at The Radisson Hotel and proposed a bespoke installation and removals package which included the installation of new beds and the environmentally friendly disposal of the existing beds. As the lifts at the hotel were too narrow to accommodate the beds, the team devised a plan to strategically transfer the new beds up onto each floor. With our years of experience in the removals industry, we were confident in completing the project in the stipulated time.
The Process
The project supervisor managed 2 separate teams, the removal team and the installation team. The removal team worked on dismantling the existing beds and loaded the beds into the removal lorry. The beds were then transported for environmentally friendly disposal following our stringent eco-friendly disposal procedure. The installation team focused on the installation of the new 3-phase beds in 200 hotel rooms. Due to the complexity of the hotel lifts being inadequate to accommodate the new beds, the team at Cube Relocations came up with the perfect solution, the implementation of an outdoor ladder lift to transport the beds to the relevant floors. The new beds were then hoisted up to the relevant floors and installed in the respective hotel rooms.
For safety concerns, the Cube Relocations team diligently worked with local authorities regarding the safe usage of the outdoor ladder lift, ensuring that all health and safety as well as parking regulations were adhered to.
